One of the most valuable ways to help a charity is word of mouth.  If more people know about our charity, then more children can be helped. Contributions as small as telling a friends and family about our foundation and our website are considered a great help.

Help Me Hear is always in need of individuals who would like to join us in our cause. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please call 1-877-GIV-Hear.

Planned Giving:
You may name Help Me Hear as a beneficiary in your will, IRA, or retirement plan. You could also list Help Me Hear as a beneficiary of an insurance policy or trust.  For more information on planned giving, please call 1-877-HEAR-GIV

Gifts of Stock and Other Securities:
Making a gift of appreciated stock and other securities is easy.  For tax purposes, your gift is considered complete on the day that you turn over control of the securities. The value of the gift is its fair market value on that day, and you pay no tax on the capital gains. If the securities are traded daily on a recognized exchange, the value is the average between the high and low prices for that day.  For more information on gifts of stock and securities, please call 1-877-GIV-HEAR

Gifts in Kind:
You may choose to donate some of your possessions as gifts in kind.  Some of these possessions may otherwise be subject to an estate tax upon the death of the owner. If you donate such valuable objects, you may claim a charitable income tax deduction and you will know that your gifts will be treated with care and protected by Help Me Hear.  For more information on gifts in kind, please call 1-877-GIV-HEAR.

The burden of hearing impairment and deafness falls disproportionately on the poor, because they are unable to afford the preventive and routine care necessary to avoid hearing loss, or to afford [devices] to make the condition manageable. Hearing impairment can also make it more difficult to escape poverty by slowing progress in school and the workplace, and placing people in social isolation….The cost of special education and lost employment due to hearing impairment can also impose a substantial economic burden on countries.”
