Executive Director (President) and TreasurerBrent Lucas was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and grew up in the northern suburbs of the Twin Cities. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Studies (part of the Finance Department) from the University of St. Thomas in 2004. He also studied at Colby College and Carleton College during his undergraduate career. Currently, Mr. Lucas is seeking a juris doctor (JD) at the Hamline University School of Law.

The burden of hearing impairment and deafness falls disproportionately on the poor, because they are unable to afford the preventive and routine care necessary to avoid hearing loss, or to afford [devices] to make the condition manageable.
